AI tool that turns saved Instagram Reels into map pins you'll actually use
Built from idea to launch in one week. 100+ users and 3,690+ places extracted, and counting.

The problem
You save the place.
You never go back.
Everyone saves Reels of cool restaurants, cafes, and travel spots. Almost no one goes back to find them. The location info is buried in captions, voiceovers, or on-screen text — and Instagram has no native way to extract it. The challenge was to build something that solves this in the simplest possible way, without asking users to leave the app or learn a new tool.

The insight
The best UX was no new UX.
Creators already share Reels through DMs. So the entire product lives inside a behavior people already have — nothing to download, nothing to learn.
How it works
Three steps. Zero friction.
Send a Reel
Share any Reel or post straight into the DM — the exact thing you already do with friends. No app, no sign-up, no new habit.
AI reads it
Gemini Vision pulls the place out of the video, caption, voiceover, and on-screen text, then matches it against Google Places.
Get a pin back
A Google Maps link lands back in your DMs seconds later. The place you would have lost is saved for good.
Designed and shipped
One person. Seven days.
Idea to shipped product.
I designed the brand and the flow, then built the whole stack myself with an AI-assisted workflow — from the first message to live billing. No handoff, no gaps.
Live traction
Real users. Zero paid acquisition. Still counting.
Still building
Still building. Improving the product based on real user feedback, creating content to grow the audience, and building recognition around the project. Design, engineering, and GTM — all still me.
